Fun Activities
Anytime you find yourself in a new place, you might wonder “What’s there to do here?” Well, here’s our list of top things to do when the weather’s sweltering hot, raining cats and dogs, or you just want to hang out inside, here’s a list of fun things you can do under a roof!
- Bowling
- At the Union: Do you have a triple digit score? You can check out the bowling lanes at the Student Union in the Underground (located on the basement level at the Student Union).
- At Dart Bowl: Nice, roomy lanes with ample parking. Whenever we bowl, you can find us here!
- Koinonia’s Monthly Boardgame Night: Every month, we host our “Going Overboard” Boardgame Night, occasionally coupled with an awe-inspiring magic show by one of our Koinonia staff. Check out our events page to find out when the next one is coming up!
- Broomball @ Chapparal Ice: Slipping, sliding, and laughing at everyone who falls. Broomball is always memory-making!
- King Kong Shower Game: This can get pretty intense when you play with some of the more veteran students and staff in Koinonia. And people come up with the wackiest moves! It’s easy to play but only the strong will survive.
- Museums:
- Lyndon B. Johnson Museum: The 36th president who succeeded JFK after his assassination and passed the Civil Rights Act has a rich history we can all learn from. Free admission.
- Harry Ransom Center: Did you know that the Bible was first substantial book ever printed when Gutenberg press was invented? What’s even more amazing is that you can view one of the 5 original copies of the Gutenberg Bible here. Also, you can view the first photograph from 1826 in France as well. Free admission.
- UT Gym: There’s always something active and fun to do at Gregory Gym and Rec Center.
