Starting Summer with Great Sights & Hikes

The Texas summer has set in, and it’s scorching – but on Memorial day weekend, when the weather was strangely cool for Texas, a bunch of us drove seven hours Northeast to Amarillo to visit the Palo Duro Canyon.

Along the way, we lifted our horns and brought burnt orange to the Texas Tech campus.

After 7 hours of mind boggling car games, painful puns, and too many snacks, we were treated to this breathtaking view that made 7 hours of riddles and puns worth it.

And even though our physical strength was put to the test…

…we all made it to the top! It was a sight worth seeing.

We made history with our first Sunday service at a canyon and closed out the memorable Memorial trip with some Dallas cuisine.

We drove, we hiked, and we had lots of fun doing it. Until the next trip…
